A Historic Tribute to Mothers
Inspired by the compassionate leadership of Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay)
Sikkim became the first state in India to celebrate an official statewide tribute dedicated entirely to mothers through AAMA Samman Diwas.
The celebration reflects the Government's commitment towards honouring mothers through recognition, financial assistance and welfare initiatives including AAMA Sashaktikaran Yojana and AAMA Sahayog Yojana.
More than 32,000 mothers benefit from these initiatives, making AAMA Samman Diwas one of the largest women-centric welfare celebrations in the country.
