The Pragatisheel AAMA Purashkar has been instituted under the AAMA Samman Diwas initiative to honour beneficiaries of the AAMA Sashaktikaran Yojana who have demonstrated determination, resilience and responsible utilisation of the financial assistance received under the scheme.

Through hard work and perseverance, these mothers have transformed the support provided under the scheme into sustainable livelihood opportunities, setting an inspiring example for others across the State.

Three outstanding beneficiaries will be honoured with cash awards in recognition of their entrepreneurial spirit and remarkable achievements.

Mrs. Indra Lepcha, wife of Late Samson Lepcha, is a resident of Kaluk Bazaar, West Sikkim. She is a courageous single mother raising three children while managing a small fast-food business from a rented premises at Kaluk Bazaar.

Despite facing immense personal hardship, including the tragic loss of her eldest son only four months ago, Mrs. Lepcha has continued to work with determination and resilience to support her family.

After receiving financial assistance under the AAMA Sashaktikaran Yojana, she invested the amount in strengthening her business by purchasing essential cooking equipment, utensils, furniture and other necessary materials required for operating and expanding her fast-food outlet.

Her prudent utilisation of the assistance has enabled her to improve her livelihood and continue supporting her family with dignity and self-reliance.
